May is the time for honoring and remembering the people we hold dear to our hearts. May celebrates mothers, fathers, and our nation’s heroes.
While we would all love to personally thank each and every veteran and family member every day, we know that’s just not possible. Fortunately, there are simple ways to thank both the people and the groups you are most grateful for.
Volunteering – To thank a veteran, try volunteering or donating to various veteran causes such as the Wounded Warrior Project or Volunteers of America. Donating your time is a great way give back and show your gratitude.
Write a Card – Sometimes the best way to recognize someone is with a simple card! You can buy one from a local store or make your own. Either way, the recipient will be honored you thought of them!
Time – Just spending time with your loved ones or perhaps a mother or father who do not live close to their children can be the best way to thank them for their service and hard work.
Saying thank you doesn’t always have to be a big show, but the recipient will almost always see your thanks as a grand gesture.
Senior Helpers would like to thank all the hard working mothers and fathers as well as our nation’s heroes for their service. Thank you!
