Meet the Chandler/Gilbert Office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers Chandler/Gilbert we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  Marguerite Patterson opened the Senior Helpers Chandler/Gilbert office in 2018 because of her passion for helping others and her interest in the growing need for in-home care services.  Marguerite  is committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in the Chandler/Gilbert community.

We take in-home care very seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies.  They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand.  Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers of Chandler/Gilbert was proud to join the system in 2018.  Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

Marguerite Patterson was drawn to Senior Helpers because she understands what it’s like to care for a parent from her own experience. Our team has grown to include an office manager, team members, and 15 caregivers. We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Chandler/Gilbert Team

Marguerite Patterson

Director of Community Relations and Operations

Marguerite has experience in the healthcare industry for over seven years at Aetna/Mercy Care. Earlier in her life she served in the Army and cares about Veterans and their needs.

Marguerite has had first-hand experience caregiving for her mother through her medical needs and recovery from her fall.  Earlier she cared for her son through developmental therapy, as he was born prematurely at 28 weeks. Marguerite has a passion for caring for others so it was an easy transition to Senior Helpers.   She feels strongly about the quality of care of others with her own personal experiences. She is involved in the community and her church. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and is a Cubs fan.

Marc Lindstrom

Marc Lindstrom works in Operations with many years of experience in the Aerospace industry.  He is working along side his wife Marguerite to streamline internal processes, implement new tools to roll out to clients (e.g. portals) and other cost reduction initiatives.   On a personal note, Marc’s grandmother is 105 years old and suffers from Dementia.   Marc understands how difficult it is for families to deal with Dementia as his own parents are caring for his grandmother.

Helen Baker

Human Resource Coordinator

Helen has over two decades of experience with many aspects of Human Resources, ranging from recruiting, policies and procedures to employment relations.  She enjoys placing candidates in the perfect job that fits the objectives, while maintaining the goal of the Senior Helpers.  Helens commitment in ensuring that placements of Caregivers to Clients are a strong match for both parties to build lasting relationships with the Caregivers, Clients and Management.  Helen’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s when she was young and saw how her family struggled to find someone to assist him and realizes what an important job it is to find the right person to assist our clients.

When Helen is not at the Senior Helpers office you can find her volunteering at Desert Vista High School either assisting the football team as Team Mom or organizing the Staff Appreciation lunches.  She was born and raised in San Jose, California and will always be a 49ers fan.
