About Us

Welcome to the Wilmington, NC Senior Helpers website. This office is part of an individually owned and operated network of Senior Helpers, servicing clients in New Hanover County and parts of the seven surrounding counties in Coastal Carolina. As one of the area’s premier home care agencies, Senior Helpers will help you find the proper care for your loved one.

In 2011, Senior Helpers of Wilmington was opened. Since then, we have become trusted as a reliable partner to assist with senior care needs. Expanding our in-home care and elderly services across the entire region, we are able to accommodate the increasing need for a higher quality home care. We provide a level of security, comfort, and professionalism to our clients that give confidence and peace of mind to them and their loved ones.

Each year, our dedicated team of caring professionals who are all insured and bonded through Senior Helpers is privileged to care for many families in Coastal Carolina. We are well-known for our work ethic, compassion, and professionalism, which have helped our staff to become the agency of choice for local hospitals, extended care facilities and healthcare professionals. Carrying some of the highest standards in the industry is a priority for us and has allowed us to be recognized as "Provider of Choice 2015", "Employer of Choice 2015" and "Best of Home Care Leader in Excellence in 2015" by Home Care Pulse. We are proud of these honors, but it is the testimonials from families we have cared for that truly give us cause. Whether for three hours a day or 24/7, we will be there for your family.

We invite you to call and speak with a care consultant. We also offer after-hours consultation by phone to assist with your research in choosing the most appropriate care provider for in-home senior and elder care services.

Proper Steps to the Best Care

Many families have never had to begin the process for in-home care services before. It can be very stressful selecting an agency to help your loved ones. In the initial free consultation with clients and their loves ones, there are many questions that they will not know to ask. We strive to help make the entire process simple and stress-free, and calling your local office in Wilmington is the first step. The sooner you reach out to us, the better you will feel in having your questions answered, and also less anxiety in receiving advice and recommendations from our experienced staff.

A Client Services team member will discuss and review your loved ones’ specific needs, and explain a typical day with the in-home care services that are the best match for the current situation. We will properly outline and summarize the cost of care, and then set up a convenient time to meet with you and your loved one – typically at the location of care. This complimentary in-home assessment is part of our normal process, and is designed to introduce your loved one to our services, and describe our mission and our culture. We meet many individuals that are naturally very private and resistant to care. This first meeting assists in creating comfort, and starts the process in gaining their trust and confidence, as well as yours. From here we set up a care plan that addresses their needs, and a schedule that is affordable and practical. There are no contracts to commit to. Our Service Agreement is highly flexible to meet the needs of each individual client. We look forward to hearing how we can help your family’s specific needs.
