Direct Care Plus Direct Access

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) and Senior Helpers have united to establish local resource centers—AFA C.A.R.E.S. Affiliates—that serve as central points of community education and support, further helping individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and their families understand and cope with the disease and explore options for supportive services.

We’re a Hands-On Presence in Your Community…

AFA C.A.R.E.S. marks a collaboration between two national entities dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia through education, support—and compassion.

Established by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) and Senior Helpers, AFA C.A.R.E.S. affiliates are community educators, trained as AFA Qualified Dementia Care Providers to assist families in navigating the caregiving journey.

We are your gateway to the best of both worlds: local and national support.

  • Trained dementia care educators
  • Information about dementia, caregiving and successful aging
  • Local resources and referrals
  • Dementia-related community events
  • Contact with AFA’s licensed social workers
  • Access to AFA’s national initiatives, programs and services

Together, we’re changing the face of care in America.
