Green is the color of the month! Green grass has covered the hills and new leaves are sprouting on the trees. Spring is just around the corner and so is the green-loving holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. This celebratory day was brought to America by immigrants from the “Emerald Isle” a.k.a. Ireland, whose flag also features the color green. These Irish immigrants, who were often poor, would probably have preferred to have their traditional bacon with their cabbage but since corned beef was cheaper in America, that was what they used instead! St. Patty’s is a fun holiday for all ages to enjoy. Wear something green, grab a senior friend and celebrate Irish-style. Here are some local events happening on the Central Coast:
St. Patrick's Dinner and Silent Auction at Community Church of Atascadero

Have dinner with us, take a few walks through the items available at the silent auction and just enjoy the festive, family atmosphere.
