Home Companionship
Our caregivers provide a variety of services for the elderly, but one of our most needed services is companionship. Many seniors live alone and do not have a reliable means of getting around or even visiting friends and relatives. Our caregivers can help your family with senior companionship issues including:
- Visits by a nurse to monitor prescriptions, overall health, to change levels of care as needed and provide reports to the primary care physician
- Being a periodic visitor to check-in on how your relative is doing, these shorter, "peace-of-mind" visits can be as frequent as you need, daily if necessary
- Being a senior companion for longer duration sitter visits, we can provide in home care as needed, if you are taking care of a relative and need someone to be with them while you work, then we can help your family
- Our caregivers can run errands, or take your senior to needed medical visits, to the pharmacy, help out with incidental transportation, grocery shopping, taking your senior to visit friends or relatives, assisting with transportation and monitoring when your relative needs to pay bills, go to a movie, the library, visit sick friends at hospital, or just be there to stimulate your senior's mind with conversation, games, renting movies, reading or other activities
- We also provide services around the house including light housekeeping, hygiene help, medication/prescription monitoring, food freshness/diet monitoring, help with laundry, cleaning, washing linens, supervising home maintenance tasks, helping with correspondence and bills or other daily tasks
- Please review our Services Task List for a broader list of services.
Senior Helpers also offers specialized care services for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's and can assist long term with patients with mobility issues, contact us for a complimentary interview and assessment.
