Our process starts with an initial medical needs assessment from one of our nurses.  We will develop a personalized care program for your senior.  Our assistance covers general medical assistance at home to continuous in-home help.  View our Services Task List for a better idea of our total services.  But, once you call Senior Helpers, our in home care providers can assist with:

  • Nurse supervised care program - beginning with an initial assessment, our nurses monitor our caregivers and also your senior; our nursing visits will happen every two weeks to monitor medication interactions, changes in level of care, distribute medications (MedServ Plan), and provide health care assessments to your senior's primary care physician.
  • General assistance - we can provide "peace of mind" visits, or just checking in on a loved one or longer "sitter" visits for companionship and general care; our caregivers can also assist with errands to the doctor, to the pharmacy, grocery shopping and other errands; and, we can also perform light housekeeping tasks for your senior including laundry, cleaning, vacuuming, linens, changing beds, preparing meals; taking your senior to events or to visit friends, general entertainment including renting movies, the library, and other activities; helping with correspondence and bills
  • Personal assistance - our caregivers will help your senior with general, personal hygiene issues including bathing, dressing and other basic, daily requirements
  • Care for seniors with memory loss - we have personalized care programs for seniors with basic forgetfulness, dementia, or even Alzheimer's disease; these kinds of medical problems are sometimes the most difficult for family members to deal with and we can help take some of the stress off of your family by making sure that your senior is getting the daily care that is needed
