Our nurse-supervised programs are designed around the needs of each senior and their family members.  We are fully aware that family caregivers can easily stress themselves out and wear down their health, a condition called "caregiver burnout."  This is an unfortunate situation to find yourself in, and most family caregiver's health suffers from all of the stress of working, taking care of a senior parent, and all of their other family obligations.  Some of the services available from Senior Helpers, your home health care agency, include:

  • General assessment of the senior's needs from a registered nurse
  • Customized care plan developed by the nurse and the family
  • Nurse visits every two weeks to assess the senior's health, disperse and monitor medications, check for drug interaction problems, and report to your adult's primary care physician
  • MedServ Program - our plan to disperse and monitor medications so your parent or senior takes the medication in the correct dosages; exception reporting to primary care physicians
  • Specialized care programs for seniors suffering from early onset memory loss, forgetfulness in old age, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
  • "Peace of mind" visits from our caregivers, essentially, daily visits to check-in on your senior, home monitoring
  • "Sitter" visits that can be for a few hours or all day; check that seniors are taking their medications, companionship, light housekeeping tasks, hygiene assistance, laundry, food preparation, grocery shopping, running errands, taking your senior to visit friends or for entertainment, and other tasks that your adult can no longer perform
  • Assistance with medical transportation, trips to the doctor or hospital, picking up medications from a pharmacy, taking your senior to clinics for physical therapy
  • And many more services; please review our Service Task List

Give yourself some "peace of mind" and let professionals assist with the daily living needs and elderly home care of your parent or senior relative.   We want people to be able to stay in their homes, and caring for a senior at home generally is beneficial to the senior, reduces depression, improves overall quality of life, and is usually considerable less expensive than a stay at a full service nursing home.
