Meet the Owners:

Senior Helpers of the Fox Cities is owned and operated by Nancy and Gene Bortolameolli. “Caring for others was our way of life as I was growing up,” says Nancy. Her parents, a Baptist minister and a teacher were very involved in the church ministry, always providing care and comfort to others. Naturally, Nancy aspired to follow in her parents’ footsteps.

Nancy and Gene opened their Senior Helpers office in Appleton, WI in March of 2010 where they have resided for almost 30 years. This gave Nancy the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career in what she has always known and loved: providing others a better quality of life.

Not only does Nancy run the day-to-day operations of Senior Helpers, she also conducts trainings for the caregivers, attends senior events, provides educational workshops and presentations on our Senior Gems™ program.

The Bortolameolli family includes their children Jaena and Drake. Jaena serves as Senior Helpers’ Community & Human Resources Coordinator as well as Director of Marketing.

The Bortolameolli family is available to talk to you today about your loved ones personalized care needs. We are eager to serve and do what we know best: helping folks maintain their independence and dignity at home!

Not only does Nancy run the day-to-day operations of Senior Helpers, she also conducts trainings for the caregivers, attends senior events, provides educational workshops and presentations on our Senior Gems™ program, serves as an ambassador for many organizations. This designation means Nancy works in the best interest of seniors and is committed to ethical business practices. By combining the education Nancy obtained about seniors and aging with her existing professional expertise she has an understanding of the health, social and financial issues that affect seniors' quality of life and she serves as a resource for seniors by pinpointing relevant information to assist and refer seniors and their families to organizations and resources that will meet their needs.

Gene Bortolameolli

Gene runs the financial operations of Senior Helpers. Gene has a strong business background in customer service and management. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and Keller Graduate School of Management. Gene enjoys running, officiating football and spending time with his family.

Jaena

Jaena Bortolameolli

Jaena is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Bachelor of Science). She has a strong passion for health and wellness and for helping others. With her educational background and work experience as a caregiver for a number of years, Jaena currently educates and markets to the local community, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, hospice agencies and other senior care resources about our in-home care services. She continuously develops and nurtures relationships with our clients and partners with health care organizations throughout the area.

Jaena serves as Senior Helpers Community & HR Coordinator, recruiting and hiring caregivers to Senior Helper’s standards to provide quality, reliable, trusted care.

Jen is married and has two boys. She is an avid animal lover and proud owner of two labs, two English Mastiffs and two cats. Jen grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin and has been in the health care field for twelve years.
