A fun Valentine’s Day craft for seniors is as simple as creating festive paper cards. All you need is some thick paper stock, but construction paper is fine, some random buttons that can be painted red or left as is, some markers, and imagination. You can glue the buttons into the shape of a heart of in the form of the word LOVE on the cover of the card. Using the marker you will be able to jot down words of love on the inside. A personal card is not only fun to make, but it is also more heartfelt and will be appreciated by the recipient.
If your loved one has some jarred candles in the house, a Valentine’s Day craft would include wrapping the jar with paper for a cheerful look. Any type of colored paper, usually in red or pink will look adorable taped around a votive. Add a colorful ribbon for a complete look.
If your senior loved one likes to bake, perhaps a fun Valentine’s Day craft would be to make some delicious cake balls. Chocolate covered strawberries are also a festive way to celebrate the holiday. All you need are sheet protectors, scissors, hard finish Mod Podge, a foam brush, and some colorful tissue paper cut into small pieces. Simply brush the sheet protector with the Mod Podge and cover with the tissue paper pieces. Allow to dry completely. The tissue paper creation will come right off the plastic.
