Mike Zirkle, founder of the office supporting Western and Central Virginia, decided to start this business after seeing a need in the area for dependable care and higher levels of customer service. After personally experiencing the challenges of caring for his aging grandparents, he knew there had to be a better way.

Mike’s personal experience combined with his years of hands-on business experience, enabled him to assemble a team of caring, experienced, and skilled professionals focused on and committed to delivering uncompromising levels of customer care and service. Mike and his team are here to help your loved one enjoy an independent lifestyle and to help you enjoy peace of mind!

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. Prior to founding Senior Helpers of Western and Central Virginia, Mike was a Principal with Booz & Company, a leading global business strategy consultancy, where he served by helping some of the world's largest companies improve their operational performance.
